Notice of Annual General Meeting 2009

The 2009 Annual General Meeting of Pershore Allotment Association will be held at 8.00 pm on Thursday 26th March 2009, at Pershore Working Men's Club.

...But is it for me?

Actually, yes! The AGM is open to anyone who is a Pershore allotment holder.

All we ask is that you come. This is your opportunity to:

  • See how we, as an Association, have performed over the past year;
  • Vote on who should hold office within the Association;
  • Join the Committee or become an Officer (see below for details of the posts);
  • Become a member of the Association;
  • Tell us what you feel are the burning issues for the next few months;
  • Find out what we can do for you; and - possibly most importantly -
  • Make friends, find out who your neighbours are, find out who your Committee Members are and generally have a good natter with like-minded people.

Roles and Offices

At each AGM, the current post holders and officers must stand down from their positions. They are eligible for re-election, but anyone who wishes to stand for a post can nominate themselves (or a friend, or a colleague). If there is more than one candidate for a post, a vote must take place of all the people present. Nominees are not eligible to participate in the vote, and may be asked to leave the room until the votes have been counted (usually by a show of hands).

Click on the links below to find out what each post involves. The descriptions will open in a separate window as a PDF file, for which you will need Adobe Acrobat (free to download from www.adobe.com).
